Catch a falling star!

I started the day the best way possible with great friends, a waffle and sunshine. It is so much fun to do spontanious things with friends. We had a mystery guest too! However, by the time breakfast and we were all on our way to work the sun was hiding. This really is the stangest weather I remeber. I was going to say on the prairies but I can't recal a summer this cool in Ontario or B.C for that matter.

Have you had a chance to catch a falling star? Well if it is clear the next 2 nights look way up. The darker your location the better. The peek veiwing nights for the annual Perseid Showers were the last three but i ususally catch them for a couple nights following just not as heavy. On the 12 I was out fom 10:30-11:30 and saw 30, 8 of which fall in the best every catagory, great tails and one even gave a little flash before it was gone. This is a great memory making time with kids and friends. Mark your calander for next year around the 13th of August. An easy for me to remeber as it's my son's birthday.

I'm thinking of designing a Quilt called Falling Stars. I have a new program coming that is going to be so much fun to learn and design with. As the title of my blog suggest quilting is my passion. It is a road I never thought to travel but has been so much fun. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I have had how many friends I have made but I supose now that I have a blog you will here about it all.

Those who know me are not surprised that I want to create my own designs. Those who don't can follow my progress. I am sure it will be a steep learing curve just to figure out the program. The best part about quilters is they are a caring and supportive bunch.
